Whipped Cream War

This year, Mark and I agreed to serve as class sponsors. We were added to the sophomore class and will have the wonderful pleasure of serving them throughout the rest of their high school years. This will involve helping them raise funds for their junior/senior banquet, guiding them in leadership and being chaperones on their class trips to both Normandy and Rome. Nice.
However, just a week ago on a cold, COLD, drizzly Friday night, our duty was to help with their Fall class party. The sophomore class officers got to choose the event and we helped them plan it. What was their choice you ask? Well much to our initial chagrin they chose to have a whipped cream war. We were dreading it but it ended up being a VERY fun night and the kids, of course loved it.
Here are a few pictures to give you a good laugh:

My favorite line of the night..."I'm too old for this!" But not really:)

"My can is empty...what do I do now?"

Ethan: "Dad, I need another can of whipped cream, please!"

Our esteemed AP English teacher and sophomore class sponsor, Miss Young (red sweatshirt) obviously seeking revenge on someone!

Whipped cream as a new hair styling product? I think not!

We used almost 80 cans of spruehsahne (literally translated "spray cream") that night.

The sophomore class and sponsors covered in whipped cream. This will definitely go down in BFA history as one of the most fun class parties ever...in their humble opinions:)

After hot showers, the kids warm up by the fire with some hot chocolate.

The memories of the night lasted long into the following week for us. We had to wash our clothes...

three times to get the soured milk smell out. It'll be a long time before we want to have anything with whipped cream on it!
What a joy it is to be here and be a part of such crazy times that these kids will remember for quite some time. Thank you for the part you play in helping us to be available to "play" with these great, amazing, terrific students.
Blessings and peace,
Susan, with Mark
